8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI thought I got a great public school education from here. Comparing my high school education to others in college, I can say confidently that MHS prepared me adequately; I didn't feel at a disadvantage towards those from private schools, magnet schools, or other public schools. I would say that the AP offerings are somewhat on the smaller side, but for the size of the school I think its adequate and there's always self studying if you want. Extra curriculars are adequate, and the culture was pretty welcoming and average for a public school in my opinion (there's always cliques and some who may have a bad experience). Overall, I believe MHS provides a pragmatic educational experience for those interested in college. I can't speak to non-college pathways and I would like to note the lack of diversity at MHS and Metuchen are an important caveat. There is a wealth of knowledge that can be learned both formally and informally from people with diverse backgrounds and upbringings, and I found those experiences elsewhere, not at MHS.Other Review3y ago8 Reviews - Campbell Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagemy sister got bullied at this school and none of the staff helped her. She told a sub during spanish, but she said the sub ignored her and just scrolled through her phone. When she told another staff, the staff tried to talk things out and try to make them friends instead of calling the girl’s parents or giving her a punishment. They keep talking about preventing bullying, but the only thing are doing to “prevent” it is to make the bully apologize and shake hands instead of actually doing something..Other Review1y ago8 Reviews - Edgar Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school system is absolutely terrible, students are picked on, bullied by their peers and EVEN the teachers and staff especially the principal and vice principal. They pick on the kids and are so harsh and honestly just mean and cruel to them for no reason. The students were never a problem. The town is very safe, theres never any fights and there are rarely big behavior issues with the kids. The teachers and staff here are terrible and should be held accountable for the torment and decreasing mental health they cause student to endure.Parent Review2w ago16 Reviews - Mildred B. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was bullied at moss school repeatedly throughout the year. We took all of the reasonable steps, such as speaking with the teacher first on multiple occasions, which never seemed to help. The day I had finally reached my breaking point, was when I picked my son up from school one day and he had a look of complete terror on his face.....I had never seen him so afraid. His knee was scraped and bleeding, he had been pushed and threatened. From this point on, the school opened a "bullying" investigation (which was a complete joke), but nothing really came of it. This school does not take bullying seriously, so be careful if you ever find yourself in a similar situation. 2 other parents in my son's class also pulled their children from this school midway through the school year because of the same 2 children in the class that were negatively affecting their children. They also tried getting help from Moss, to no avail. We moved so that my son would not have to continue in this school district.Parent Review9y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 28 Goodwill Pl.

"I was born and raised here. But that really doesn’t matter because there are so many transplants from other places. The reason is because it’s a safe, happy place to live."

"I have lived in this neighborhood for seven years. I currently work in Monmouth County, and I have such easy access to the roads I need to get there. I can get to Route 1, 287, and the parkway and be at work in less than 30 minutes. I also commute into Manhattan a few times a month for work and I am able to walk to the train station downtown and easily commute into Penn station."
