"I live just down the street and I will say that this location is amazing! The neighbors are all friendly, and if you walk to the end of the street, just around the corner is the elementary school with a playground and basketball courts. Demarest is a small town with a great down-town that has a deli, pizzeria, greek restaurant, and Dunkin Donuts; the great part is that the town is only 2 square miles so you can reach down-town from wherever. A great part about being in northern New Jersey, is how close New York City is. To go into the city takes only about twenty minutes and is incredibly convenient for working, but also there is always a place to take the kids and allows my kids to become more cultured. If you are thinking about moving to Demarest, it is a wonderful town and you would be completely, if not more than, satisfied "
