The teachers and administrators at this school are under rated. There is nothing wrong with Winslow schools. They carry on a reputation from earlier days and no one pays attention to how far this district has come. My daughter went here with zero complaints and great teachers

I like this school and so does my son! We were hearing all of this bad stuff about this school but it isn’t bad at all!! Has someone ever told you not to go see a movie because it was horrible?? You went to see the movie anyway and found that you loved the movie and your personal experience felt great and safe when you visited the theatre?? Well, same here with Winslow High school!! Great leadership, rules, learning, caring, and nothing but good guidance here. Of course you will get in trouble if you don’t follow the rules but they give you three chances to get it right! They hand out the handbook with all of the rules. So if your child gets three strikes then the rules come harder. Please note, all of these schools have over 1300 students and rules have to be set so that the kiddos don’t disrupt the school learning experience. My son loves it and loves his friends. He also say good things about his teachers. He says the school is fun!! Thanks Winslow High School staff and leaders.

i went here, just graduated and it honest sucked. I mean the teachers were great but you dont learn much, the policies are pretty dumb and theres fights everyday. no one does anything for bullying. we also had a school shooting threat.

This school is absolutely awful. It starts with the unprofessional leaders the principle and the assistant principle. They do not return phone calls or emails. In order to get a response from them regarding bullying, which they have a 0 tolerance for bullying, I had to call several times send several emails then go up to the school to finally get a response. When you ask them a question their response is always they do not know or they have a procedure in place but they do not know why they have not followed their own procedure. When I questioned the assistant principle about an incident she began to lie and change her story several times as I began to ask more questions. 'The assistants in the front office are extremely rude and unpleasant to speak to and their unprofessional behavior is allowed by their leaders. My child's teacher was extremely unprofessional as well. She had multiple facial piercings and was allowed to teach with these, and the school is more concerned with the children not wearing a shirt with a hood. She never sent home any classwork or test and when asked she took weeks to provide the information to me to have access. She called me at 9:30pm once I reached out to her to go over my child's progress and proceeded to discuss my child's clothing and physical appearance. The curriculum is also behind and not the proper grade level teaching. This school was great when my younger sister attended but it has truly gone downhill.
