Fly fish for wild brookies or stocked browns on the Piscataqua River. Antique apple orchard in phase one restoration. Bountiful sugar maples for tapping. Field is rich in clover, antique vervain, and autumn aster. Soil is miraculous. Full sun all day. Blue birds by the flock in early spring.
Writing in the 1970s, Cumberland historian Phyllis Sturdivant Sweetser observed of the property, 'Orrin Whitney homestead can be traced back for over a century and a half and was probably constructed during the last of the American Revolution.
