If your child is academically high-achieving and looking for strong academic support and enrichment, this may not be the best fit. In my experience, the administration appears stretched thin managing a large number of behavioral and academic intervention needs. As a result, students who are excelling academically may not receive the level of challenge, attention, or opportunities they need to reach their full potential. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this school to families seeking a rigorous academic environment.

Our experience with Pierpont Elementary has been excellent. My children genuinely enjoy going to school every day, reflecting the positive and welcoming environment fostered by the staff and school community. The teachers are friendly, approachable, and dedicated, with standout individuals like Scott Lancet, Michelle Garland, and Thu Hyunh making a significant impact. The PTA is also commendable for its efforts in organizing numerous events and initiatives that promote family engagement and enhance the school experience.The support staff are all gems, from our custodian Larry, who makes St. Patrick’s Day extra special, to Cathy, who knows every child by name and helps mine with their picky eating. The administration, led by Mr. Tyner, goes above and beyond with their leadership. Our kids have participated in various activities, including cross country, student council, art, and music, as well as many PTA-led events, showcasing the school’s ability to lead not only academically but also in extracurricular experiences. Lastly, Pierpont’s unique location by the beach adds a special touch. Overall, we highly recommend Pierpont Elementary to families in the area.

Didn't suck too much. Still wouldn't go back though. Got bullied and nobody did anything. Other than that it's pretty okay.
