About this House
Music Studio with Grand Piano & Yurt near UO School Of Music
Hello! I'm a long-time music teacher and UO School Of Music graduate currently living and teaching in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This rental was my home for many years. It is ideal for a musician, gardener or music student. I've been in Vietnam for 6 years and have no plans to return to Eugene so this would be a great place to settle in and pursue a degree or career at the University of Oregon. The house is located 9 blocks from the UO School of Music, 3 blocks from Amazon Park, Pool, Dog Park, Skate Pool, Albertson's grocery on 30th & Hilyard and Sundance Natural Foods. LTD busses run nearby on Hilyard Street, 24th and 30th avenues. It is also just over the hill from Lane Community College. The Alder Street Bike Route is 2 blocks away and the Amazon Bike Path is 3 blocks away in Amazon Park. The property is set up as two separate units. Near the street is a one bedroom, one bath house. In the back yard is the unit I'm renting now: A soundproof Music Studio with its own bathroom and kitchen, and a beautiful, unusual round, wooden, yurt-style building in the garden that I built as a bedroom but it could be used for massage, meditation, etc. The units are completely separate. There are no common walls. Each of the units has its own separate yard. They are 3 separate buildings (1 BR/BA house, Music Studio & Yurt). The tenants in the front house are two PhD students who have happily lived there for over 4 years. My beautiful grand piano is included! It is a 1927 Mason & Hamlin 6 foot. It was completely restored when I bought it years ago. It is a high quality, professional instrument that is perfect for musicians and music students. My needs from a tenant are modest: Someone who is content living there who is financially responsible and is gentle with the place. "Happy, reliable, responsible". Normally I use a one-year lease from July 1 to June 30. This year I've had a tenant leave because of urgent family matters so I will lease until June 30th. Renewals will be available for 1-year as per normal :)
