7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHolsenbeck was the school I went to when I was a kid. It was honestly the best years of my life. I am now in high school and can say I learned so many things and made many valuable memories during my years at Holsenbeck. I hope that all students, present and future, will enjoy the same wonderful experiences that I did.Other Review2y ago11 Reviews - Winder-Barrow High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe administration, teachers and staff at the school are so attentive and caring. I was in Gwinnett County school district previously and my kids have received a highest level of attention from their teacher and their grades are much better in the Barrow County School system. I hope we build more schools in this county it keeps growing and we need more teachers like the ones we have here.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Bear Creek Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school is absolutely horrible. they ignore the students as soon as they actually have something to report on. one instance, a student was racist and racially profiling minorities when trying to talk to him. making racist comments like blatant racist remarks, such as calling the hispanic/latino students stereotypical names, foods, and overall calling them immigrants. one student was sick of it and wanted to report it to the teacher. and the teacher “its okay, he doesnt understand what he is saying”. he only had mild autism. on multiple occasions he would racially comment on asian americans, black, native american, and hispanic students. going so far to hitting them just for being that ethnicity. it was reported to a teacher but failed to be recognized and situated. on multiple occasion the physical education coaches would comment on overweight students’ weight. multiple reports of racist students were ignored. the dress code is out of this world for a public school. the teachers would yell and comment on students when not achieving average scores on tests behind closed doors. this school has multiple things to improve on. the school food is nasty, barely passing as nutritious, the pizza would be cold and cardboardy. the fruits would be kept in warm environments and vegetables as well. school milk was expired on multiple occasions in every schoolday. the teachers would give out their personal phone numbers when students would ask questions, which does NOT seem okay. bullying was not handled, students would insult each other across the room with the teacher only telling them to be quiet or nothing at all. teachers would print worksheets from online and give them out to students with no deadline. talking and assignments from anywhere was allowed on every test. every teacher had their own favorite students and some even agreed were better than others. on one occasion a teacher would mock an autistic overweight girl for how she ran and how she talked. i would not recommend this school at ALL.Student Review2y ago1 Reviews - Check out schools near 271 E Wright St #63.

"There is no designated dog park for you to walk your pup safely. You always have to look out for cars that sometimes speed through the neighborhood."

"Nice distance from the new middle and elementary school. Plenty of street lights now. Holly Hill is now a little run down, but we are hoping with all of the improvements it will have a revival in the near future."
