"when you see someone walking their dog you can tell they are very comfortable walking with their best friend is very nice area to walk your dogs and they do have The Preserve we can walk your dogs I know Trail just south of town"
  • Genoa city resident
"It’s boring . Nothing to do ! Friendly Wisconsin community though . Schools have high ratings and are VERY challenging . Everyone here is friends pretty much . Fourth of July is a huge event here all the neighbors get together and grill and do fireworks . But Genoa City itself , is cold as Antarctica in the winter , nice summers. Probably most boring town ever . Anything “county” you can think of is not allowed . No fireworks (people do them anyway ) no Snowmobiles in town , no dirt bikes , and cops are everywhere . Boringgg"

"I have lived here for many years. This is a great area to raise kids. There are bike and walking trails, fishing, play parks, even a skate boarding park. The schools are amazing and teachers are very attentive to their students needs. For couples and retirees there is also plenty of things to do as well. The Genoa Junction restaurant( Genoa City) is in what was once a Victorian mansion. You will dine by candle lite on their famous and fabulous fish boil. There is also wonderful new retail shopping just a short 10 minute drive to Lake Geneva. You are also very close to McHenry and just a few more minutes down the road from Kenosha. "
