I went to matagorda for most of my life, and I feel cheated out of an education. They lacked so many classes that other schools offer. I was never able to take an art class. Forget about band or theatre. Clubs? They don't exist. Unless you're dead set on being a farmer, there is nothing for you here. However, a large portion of the teachers there are absolutely amazing. They're the only reason that the school is still open. I would not recommend attending this school if you truly value your education.

"It is a small beachside village. Primarily fishing and vacation homes. A number of folks live here full time like us. "

"You see dogs on the beach all the time. Our basset loves her walks in town and on the beach. Place is very dog friendly. "

"I work from home and travel 50% using Houston Hobby airport. It is an easy 1.5 hour drive. There is very little traffic until I am close to the airport. "
