6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTs school is not good because people be mean to me and stuff i don't recommend ts school because in my opinion the teachers target me, and they give me referrals. And they suspend me for no reason when i literally did nut-ting. I really hope that they can fix how bad this school is in the near future and i hope they can improve by next year because summer is almost here. I feel like the teachers don't really help me get smarter and they just yell and call parents. And the principal only targets me even when i have nothing to do with the situation and i feel like they need to stop targeting me because it is really annoying. And the principal gives me lunch detention for no reason. Specifically the 6th grade principal but the 7th grade principal is really cool and nice to me. The 8th grade principal and dr Robinson is also nice to me. The 6th grade principal is really rude to me and i hope that can change in the future. I do like this school but i definitely do not recommend it because of all the mean students and the principals. I dislike all of my teachers except one which i will not say. My classes are pretty good and fun but in my opinion they are boring. It is more like yelling and people disrupting the class more than listening and getting my education. The principal is nice to my dad and not my mom which i really do not like. The school is not safe in my opinion because there was a real fire that happened and i do not feel safe. There is a lot of fights for just this year which i really dislike. i try to stay away but people keep trying to start problems with me. But i hope this school does get better because right now this school is TERRIBLE and i recommend students to take their kids to albert or Iona instead of this school.Student Review11mo ago11 Reviews - New Rochelle High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNew Rochelle High School is going downhill fast. Despite increased funding, the school has cut honors classes, reducing academic rigor for motivated students. The athletic department is poorly run, disorganized, and unaccountable, with constant mismanagement and lack of transparency. More money, fewer opportunities, and worse outcomes. Families deserve better. The Superintendent is arrogant and could care less for these kids.Other Review5mo ago14 Reviews - Trinity Elementary School

"If you are looking to live and raise a family in a beautiful and convenient area, look no further. New Rochelle is an amazing place. It was ranked top 10 places to live and raise a family in New York State. I highly recommend New Rochelle for anyone looking to live in Westchester with close proximity to Manhattan and Connecticut. It is safe, Clean, a fell of suburbia and the schools are fantastic. New Rochelle is extremely diverse and on the Long Island Sound. It is extremely UNIQUE!!!"

"New Rochelle is in the sweet spot between urban and suburban living. You can walk one block over and feel the warm, quiet energy of private home or walk the other way and engage in a sprawling and vibrant downtown area. "

"Since New Rochelle has been making all the new buildings, they have been removing all the mom and pop shops by making it so expensive or just kicking them out. The streets are so bad to drive in. They are removing all parking lots to build more buildings yet there’s no mall. The property taxes are so high, it isn’t worth it. Go to a better and safer school district in Westchester. "

"Its a cool area. Some crime here and there but what place doesn’t have a little crime. Has summer basketball games. Kind of loud if you’re coming from a quiet neighborhood. Lived here nearly 36 years. All is good is still good. Public transportation everywhere and corner stores everywhere that stay open pretty late. "

"This neighborhood is very diverse. I personally believe its important for our kids to grow up in very diverse neighborhoods. I am a person of color and my kids are able to meet successful people who look like them in this neighborhood and I love that. New Rochelle and White Plains are the most diverse in regards to income and race. "

"They would like the nearby parks, which dogs can go for a run and play with them. There isn’t any cons I can think of, maybe a lot of foot traffic in certain places which can be a problem if your dog is hard to handle and not well trained. But other than that great neighborhoods and parks to take your dog out for walks."
