About this House

This studio/1 bedroom cottage is less than a block from Lake Merritt, overlooking a small park and the lake. The cottage is located in the rear garden of the duplex, surrounded by a brick patio, camellia trees and hydrangeas, fully fenced and gated. The front seating area and the rear garden are shared with the duplex tenants; the driveways flanking the building are reserved for the duplex tenants. Unfortunately there is no parking available for the cottage.

The apartment has new kitchen cabinets, butcherblock countertops, and new stainless steel appliances (gas stove and refrigerator) in the kitchen. The kitchen/living area has a patterned vinyl floor and the bedroom - which fits a queen bed - has new wool carpet recently installed. The bathroom has a tile floor, a compact fiberglass shower, a new vanity and a new toilet. There is storage in the bathroom and an IKEA wardrobe in the bedroom for clothes and linens, but storage space limited and this apartment is ideal for a minimalist!

The cottage is studio size but bright, with windows looking out to the adjacent patio garden. There is no laundry on site but there is a neighborhood laundromat three blocks away. No pets, no smoking allowed on the property, inside or outside. The apartment is small and appropriate only for one adult person.

The apartment is available immediately and can be shown this weekend. Please observe all covid-19 protocols when visiting the property - interested parties must wear a mask!

ALL utilities are included in the rent - garbage, water, PG&E, and gardening - EXCEPT internet. The security deposit is $1500. No pets, no smoking allowed on the property, inside or outside.
