  • Rhonda Rivette
"My neighborhood is located in the country. It is a 15 minute commute to the nearest small town, and a 40 Minute commute to the nearest city. "
  • Peggy E. W.
"I have lived in this community for 14 years , I love it here. The parks are amazing, clean , pet friendly, beautiful. The neighborhood is quite, not alot of traffic in area, Restaurants are locally owned, stores are with in walking distance, historic hotel on main, court house is historic, the most part is the historic town, alot of history here , second oldest town in Tennessee. "
  • Allie B.
"Our personal commute is very short. It’s a pleasant drive to nearby Morristown and Kingsport "
  • Kevin L.
"As a dog owner I feel that Rogersville is fairly accepting. Dogs are welcome at the city park and of course at the tractor supply. "
  • James T.
"This town is mainly a retirement town along with a town for junkies. Some areas are very nice, but a lot of areas arent worth the stay. Kids barely have anything to do growing up"
  • Kevin L
"Leash laws are strict. Plenty of places that dogs are welcome. There is no dog park but dogs are welcome in the city park. "
  • Marycalynlester
"Not a safe place to walk your dog, houses are right off the road. We live near a highway. Dog owners wouldn’t like"
  • Joymayes
"Quiet, peaceful area. I know my neighbors by their first name! I don’t hear street noise. Just great water views and plenty of wildlife! Great place to raise children. Awesome schools!"
  • brenda m.
"Visit Rogersville often - stay at the Hale Springs Inn but looking for a retirement home there. Love the mountains, the lake and the simple and very affordable lifestyle."
  • justislj
"Having grown up in this area--since 1973!!--I know how great it is, as long as you have realistic expectations. Nature's beauty and bounty are the main attraction for me. Everyone is friendly, but not what you might call financially well-off; we do have our problems. Overall, this a great place to call home--raise a family, retire, engage in church and community events, etc. Just don't count on any public trasportation, although there's an occasional attempt at a taxi service, and, at night, there's not a lot going on if you don't want to watch a movie at the 4-theater cinemaplex or eat out. It's about a 30 minute drive to neighboring cities that offer lots more, and a little more than an hour to places like Knoxville and Asheville that have much more. Being single here has its disadvantages, though, as it took me until I was in my early 30's to fidn Miss Right--growing up in and attending a church with 50-60 members doesn't provide you many opportunities to find a mate, and there's just not that many chances around here to find "her/him". My wife and I will call this area home forever!!!!!!!!!"
