I'm think they should send more work home

Dec 11, 2025 8:18am This school is the WORST! Teachers drive wrong way in parking lot where my kids have to walk to school. Then wants to make a scene when she was going the wrong way speeding in the school parking lot. As far as safety teachers don’t do any consequences my son was being pushed into locker and was scared to tell a teacher because the response he got was to fight back, my son won’t because he’s scared to get a write up. Teachers talk over students when I taught my kid to vocalize in a calm sit down for understanding in a situation. The teachers don’t want to do that. My kid always had great grades but that is now declining because of the fear he has with this school he scared to speak. Principal always hands off the problem to another staff he never tries to handle or update on any situation. I had high hopes for this school it’s very sad it’s declining I hope soon they make big changes and try to be more understanding & conversational.

As someone whose family has attended Pasadena Memorial High School for three generations, I’ve witnessed firsthand the dramatic decline in the spirit and integrity of the baseball program. What was once a proud and competitive team built on hard work, coaching, and camaraderie has now become a selective club driven by favoritism and convenience.Today’s coaching staff appears more interested in recruiting players from deer Park, Pearland, select teams or families who contribute financially or volunteer extensively, rather than developing raw talent from within the student body. If a student hasn’t played on a select team or doesn’t have parents actively involved in supporting the program, their chances of making the team are slim—regardless of potential.This approach not only discourages aspiring athletes but undermines the very foundation of high school sports: growth, teamwork, and opportunity. Coaches now prioritize players who already know the game, making minimal effort to teach, mentor, or build team chemistry. The result is a fractured program lacking unity, development, and the competitive edge it once had.The contrast between the early 2000s and today is stark. Back then, coaches invested in their players, cultivated talent, and fostered a winning culture. That commitment is gone. Until the coaching staff returns to the fundamentals of teaching and team-building, the baseball program will continue to fall short—and the trophy hall will remain a relic of what once was.
