My daughter just finished her second year at Glendening. For Kindergarten she has Mrs. Wise who is an absolutely phenomenal teacher. My child has ADHD and was put on medication in Kindergarten. There was a lot of trial and error to get her dose correct. Mrs. Wise was so patient and encouraging with my child. My daughter loved going to school and having Mrs. Wise. This year for first grade she had Ms. Sullivan. Ms. Sullivan was equally as amazing as Mrs. Wise. Ms. Sullivan was also so patient with my daughter. She was amazing at keeping me in the loop of any behaviors that she felt needed addressed and was also open to discussing things with my child as well to come to a resolution to any issues my daughter was having. My daughter missed quite a bit of school this year due to some medical issues. The entire school was so easy to work with during the difficult times of her missing for appointments, illnesses etc. Miss Elaine in the office was always so understanding and encouraging and truly cares for the students. Overall we've had a wonderful experience so far at Glendening

As a parent I thought finally my child has a great school, from day 1 when they knew he had ADHD he did not have a chance.

The bad experience starts from the very beginning of entering the school. The inter office ladies are always treating students and parents as if they less than. Especially one lady in particular, I wish she was nice enough to take her name. The teachers, counselors and administrators have a hard time taking accountability. I believe in my heart if children weren’t bound by district boundaries that this school wouldn’t have many students. It’s dangerous to the point of metal detectors which is crazy for a “suburban school”. 10 out of 10 times I would recommend. Shout out to Mr. Gosset and Mrs. Schauffers(attendance) for treating people like human beings. This school doesn’t deserve y’all.
