We have seen a lot of great teachers and Principal's in this school district, but none as good as good as GW has had for many years. The family feel and terrific culture can't be matched. She was the best!

This school is great for learning! Some teachers have different teaching styles that require a lot more work outside of school to understand the subject but other then that I love this school!

The school did absolutely nothing for traumatizing harassment and bullying that I went through as a student, due to the fact my bullies went to the tech school part time, and somehow the guidance could never punish them for actions they took on GREAT VALLEY campus grounds without approval from the tech school principal. I felt unsafe going to school, and when I went to programs for therapy following declining mental health due to this, I was left out, unprepared upon return, and subjected to conditions that were not allowed per my return guidelines. I regularly met with the student services department and although one staff member was very helpful, the receptionist gossiped about me with an ex friend openly while I was in therapy all day from 8-3, not even giving me the space to defend myself. The receptionist favored students, particularly my ex friend, and set up other students with her daughter, extremely unprofessional especially for those working in an office for student with mental health struggles. More rules were added to prevent students from spending time in student services, which was something that was essential for me due to my intense mental health struggles, and even when therapists outlined this to the school they enforced a 5 minute time limit to sitting there. I was a straight A and B student and yet was subjected to unsafe and triggering environments, it seemed the school only cared about those doing extracurriculars like sports, band, or contributing to clubs, all of which I wasn’t capable of given my therapy programs. Students are extremely disrespectful to teachers and honestly most in my grade in higher classes didn’t deserve to be there, just wanting the class for college applications but not applying themselves. I moved to an online school in senior year and if there’s any advice I can give prospective parents of students at great valley, it’s to find another school. I had caring, supportive, and nurturing teachers at my online school, although most of the teachers at great valley are wonderful and kind as well, I was afforded something I would’ve never gotten at great valley, safety from harassment. If you’re child struggles with their mental health or has special needs, look elsewhere, there’s no help for them here, it will actually cost them more in the long run. (Oh and students with special needs were fed a false of belonging by certain cliques in my grade only for them to be made fun of behind their back)
