"Neighbors who are friendly, respectful and mind boundaries. Beautiful wildlife in a resort area - very beautiful year round. close to a lake and a wild river, hiking trails and mineral hot springs."
  • Wheelock40
"We love the whiskey flats week every February. Concerts in the park all summer for free and the river and lake fishing and boating is great!! "
  • Wheelock40
"We are one of only two gated communities in the Kern River Valley. We are a close-knit neighborhood that still has get-to-gathers, bbq’s and dinner parties. "
  • Wheelock40
"Whiskey Flats, community Art walks, Rodeos, Elks Lodge events. We have an HOA and have bbq’s Fishing Derby’s and concerts in the park "
  • Wheelock40
"Your kids are safe in the schools here but I’m not sure the extent or opportunities of a larger populated area schools are available here. It’s small country town life here. Not much for children to do outside of school. "
  • Wheelock40
"It’s the country life here. Dogs love walks here plus we do have a doggie park if people prefer an enclosed area. "
  • Wheelock40
"This is mostly seniors. Not geared towards children. It is quiet and very friendly. We feel very safe here. "
  • Lynnrobinson902
"You need a car to access Bakersfield for Physican Specialits and large stores like Cosco, Walmart and Home Depot. Wofford Heights is a vacation community with lake/river/ skiing."
  • Jurassicfanatic
"I’ve lived here for most of my life, I don’t live in the town part, I live at the very top of the mountain that looks over the town. It is not the nicest place, it has its quirks, strange people, and run down building. It’s fairly small, and the town next to it is much prettier, Kernville. Wofford Heights is more a pass by town between the two more successful towns. But if you need a cheap place with a lake view, it’s the place for you."
  • Tl1305
"able to walk dogs off leash and very quiet walking trails for people and dogs. nice creeks and mountains "
  • Micaela D. W.
"Nothings unique about my neighborhood unless you wanna count a whole town being full of tweekers. We don’t feel safe here, the people and kids are mean. I wouldn’t want any good person living here."
  • Donna S.
"I've lived here many years. It has a nice view of the lake, traffic noises are not loud or irritating, plenty of room for people and pets."
