About this House

This home is the darling of Darlington! Very spacious floor plan, starting with a wrap around, enclosed four season porch and classic double parlor with a cozy fireplace. Recent updates include vinyl siding & replacement windows, architectural shingle roof and fresh paint inside. The heating/electrical systems are modern with a 5 zone heating system. Overall, the basement has high ceilings and adds significant storage and enhanced functionality to this clean, move in ready home. Fortunately for the next lucky owner, the walls do have a story to tell, loved by the same family for almost 100 years, yet well maintained and truly enjoyed. Add your chapters to this wonderful story! As you meander, you will find ornate picture frame moldings and other beautiful details reminding you of a Newport mansion. For entertainers and chefs, you can enjoy a spacious dining room and a large kitchen adjacent to the side staircase leading to your upstairs bedrooms. Upstairs the owners chose to expose the original hardwoods which are on both floors of this home. A quick sanding and poly will bring these beautiful wide plank floors back to their original glory. The bedrooms are all enormous, featuring deep closets nestled in the eves of the roofline. Nice lot with plenty of parking, plus a 2 car garage! Perfect location for commuters, close to the train station and the highway. Choose the gift that keeps on giving this year, a charming home you will love for years to come!

"Pawtucket offers the perfect mix of convenience, character, and community. It is close to everything—highways, shopping, restaurants, parks, and Providence—while still feeling like a neighborhood with history and charm. It is a practical location with great everyday access."
  • Brandon Speight
"I lived off daggett ave for the first 28 years of my life. Its an average urban area nothing special. The bike path to slater park wad pretty nice for walks with the dog. "
  • James Daniels
"Always have Sunday gatherings with neighbors after church. Wonderful, loving community that is a family "
  • Jon Lamothe
"Easy commute to providence, but I wish there was an easier way onto 95 south without going through residential streets"
  • Trulia User
"It's a very clean neighborhood, very quiet, very safe, close to everything, very close to the parks "
  • Jadeon76
"It’s a very nice peaceful neighborhood, the downside is there are no side walks. Also not a lot of property for a large dog to run on as the houses are close together."
  • Chrisangel26
"My neighborhood is very family and pet friendly. I feel very safe. Neighbors are very friendly, There are plenty of restaurants and shopping near by. The schools have fantastic teachers. "
  • Michellega21
"The families, friendly neighbors, yards, trees, schools, nearby shops and less than a mile to Route 95 N/S."
  • Chrisangel26
"Very safe area to walk by yourself, with your family or friends or your dog. I feel safe walking any time of day, all through out the year. "
  • Chrisangel26
"Nice neighborhood to safely walk your dog with the family or by yourself even at night any time of year. Neighbors are very friendly. "
  • Jeanne F
"This area has very easy access to 95 along with a close commuter rail service. Commute to work just outside of Boston for me is generally 40 minutes. "
  • vose_c
"I've lived here for 50 years. The character of the neighborhood has changed from owners, to renters. Nobody talks to each other anymore. Violent crimes are common. Slater Park lost all of its large animals due to neglect. The PawSox are leaving in one year. The city's largest employer - Hasbro - is leaving. The city's local hospital - Memorial - closed down 2 years ago. Famous local restaurants have mostly closed, only to be replaced by a "dollar store." The city is in serious decline, with property values certain to follow."
  • Unspecified
"The community events that make my neighborhood special is halloween, trick or treating.Christmas and all holidays"
  • Dave L.
"Not a lot of open spaces for dogs to run around. Roads are no busy so you can walk them throughout the entire neighborhood. "
  • Jadeon76
"I’m new to this neighborhood but it seems like a nice quiet neighborhood and people seem really friendly here. I see lots of people walking there dogs in the evenings, people take really good care of there yards. "
