Many teachers and administrators at this school do care and are trying to make changes. They are understaffed and not trained to deal with students who have special needs issues. This school does offer more AP and IB classes than are listed here. They seem to hire teachers who are young but passionate about what they are teaching, and skilled at doing so. If your child is a "go getter" they will do great here. Academics for us were great.

It's amazing what great teachers can do when they have parent support, which they do at SCCS. If you're one of those parents who think teachers should be the only educators in your child's academic career, or you do not firmly stand with the teacher, please don't move here. Auburn Enlarged City School district is right up the road for you.
