I must say this school system cares a lot about the future of these students. They challenge each student to be better and do better. They give the kids many opportunities to pull their grades up and offer multiple resources to correct these issues. The Career Academy has been a blessing to many students, especially my daughters. They both are in the health care programs and they are graduating a year earlier thanks to the dual enrollment program.

Where do I start. My family and I moved from out of state. My son was excited to attend a new school. Low and behold we were not expecting what has happened since the beginning of the school year. Needless to say, my experience with the teaching staff is not a pleasant one, I have emailed a few teachers not One teacher has communicated back or responded to my emails. How, Why is that. How are these teachers, teachers if they cannot properly communicate with parents. I just don't understand how some of these teachers (only saying that because I have only interacted with 7th grade teacher experience) have jobs teaching. My son would come home upset and tell me all kinds of stories, students antagonizing him, taking his stuff, he would exchange words for them to give it back, students hitting him, teachers overlooking it saying they don't care. Overall these teachers are very nasty, rude and disrespectful. Even one putting their hands on my son. I have been to the school at least 4 times since September and its just the end of October. There is one good thing I can say AP Johnson has been some help with dealing with some of the situations. At the end of the day, I do not send my son to school to have this kind of experience or be treated rudely or disrespectful. I could go on and on. But I would not recommend any parent to live in this County/attend any of the schools in this district, they have got to do better. End result, I've made the decision to just move in a way better county where both my kids get the support and education they desire. I am FED UP. I am super surprised the school is still in operation.

It is and has been one of the lowest performing schools in Rockdale for years. The work is very insufficient. Its students perform alarmingly low in math standardized tests. Parent involvement is very low. Overall, students are way below the State and the country's level. As students finish, they enter Conyers Middle school, which is another very low performing school in Conyers, which is explained by the unprepared students from HTTE. I have 2 children there currently. My 2 adult children attended HTTE 10 years ago, so we have experienced the severe decline of this school. The report grade at the Governor's office is a D (this is verifiable online),. One letter grade from F. I would recommend to search accreditable sources when chosing a school district, since these reviews are just opinions and do not refer to facts.
