They have a grading system that makes no sense . How does a child have A's one week and F's the next? If they miss a day or an assignment the grades drop to F's . Stupid.

When i was in kindergarten and teacher dragged me outside while i was in my chair and said “do you want to get eaten by the 3rd graders?”

I've made a review previously about my experience here. I'm the longest reply, and at the time I was a freshman. I am now a senior who was forced to return here after unfortunate circumstances. In terms of where this school has gone from the two and a half year gap that I left it is a jump in quality, yet still a bad school overall. In terms of learning I haven't learned a single thing here, the school system is messed up, and everything seems very unfocused. The school isn't as riddled with terrible people as it was before, but to be honest everyone is fine to be around and supportive in their own way. The school wastes its budget terribly on things that don't work, such as metal detectors and little promotional materials they had me work on. Instead of fixing the bathrooms, air conditioning and other more useful things that would help cope with the terrible summer heat. School starts too quickly for the fact we do absolutely nothing, and things don't actually start for two weeks after the first initial day. Thanks to the principal this has been a huge improvement, though still retaining a sense of dullness and a small pit of hatred that only comes with living here. Enjoy it if you can, it could be a lot worse.

This school has improved over the years. Teachers and staff provide more than just academic support for students. The academy feels like more of a home for students who were left in the sidelines in regular high schools.
