We transferred last year in the 1st grade for my child and have loved the school and his teacher last year as well as his current teacher. Mrs. Bray is the principal and while we have only interacted with her at social events, she is great and really seems to be involved with the students. I hope the district as a whole improves because the schools are old and the kids could have a better learning environment although I believe Groveport Elementary is the oldest school and it is clean and well kept for the age of the building. The railings on the stairs scare me as a parent, they seem low to me for a three floor building but that is how they were designed in their day when kids rarely even went anywhere in schools without being lead by the teachers. I do wish Groveport Elementary offered the gifted classes so we didn't have to opt out of our child partaking in them (the gifted classes are offered at a school within the district that we prefer our child not attend). All in all Groveport Elementary is a great school, the teachers and the principal do a wonderful job making it a great day every day for the kids.

As a parent I thought finally my child has a great school, from day 1 when they knew he had ADHD he did not have a chance.

The bad experience starts from the very beginning of entering the school. The inter office ladies are always treating students and parents as if they less than. Especially one lady in particular, I wish she was nice enough to take her name. The teachers, counselors and administrators have a hard time taking accountability. I believe in my heart if children weren’t bound by district boundaries that this school wouldn’t have many students. It’s dangerous to the point of metal detectors which is crazy for a “suburban school”. 10 out of 10 times I would recommend. Shout out to Mr. Gosset and Mrs. Schauffers(attendance) for treating people like human beings. This school doesn’t deserve y’all.
