The principal refuses to follow court orders, parents watch out because they will break the law and not care. Then avoid you so they dont have to be held responsible for their actions.

South Belt Elementary used to be one of the best schools in the district, especially under the leadership of the former principal before she retired. The school once had a warm, supportive environment where students were truly cared for.Unfortunately, things have changed significantly under the current principal. I personally witnessed an upsetting incident during the book fair where she spoke very rudely to a Deaf Education student in the library. It was unprofessional and showed a lack of compassion and understanding. Sadly, this does not appear to be an isolated incident — she seems to treat people with selective kindness and does not show genuine concern for all students.Another serious concern occurred in May, when the air conditioning went out. The entire school was hot and uncomfortable, with students reportedly feeling nauseous due to the heat. Despite the severity of the situation, parents were never informed. This lack of transparency and disregard for student health and safety is unacceptable.At this point, I cannot recommend South Belt Elementary to other families. I hope more people begin to see that this principal is not fit to lead, and that changes are made to bring the school back to the high standards it once had.

I loved this school!!!! My teachers were super understanding, there are super great programs for GT students, and the robotics program is super fun!!! If you are not GT I do not recommend but if you are, I do. The connect program at this school is super amazing I recommend it over the traditional teaching program.
