Our children moved from a high performing blue ribbon school Louisa county. We were initially worried that they would not have the same experience as the blue ribbon school. They have been great and our children are doing well there. AP classes and governors school. Parents have to be involved in their children's education (aka hold them accountable). Louisa does a great job with the resources they have.

When i went to this school i was barely helped at all all the teachers didnt care about you they only cared if you where doing your work not if you where doing well. The principal is so fake.

The teachers are not very accepting of any student with autism. I have to agree with some of the earlier reviews on this and other websites. My concerns are with the general education teachers, who I guess are the same ones who have been there since these last posts have been written. My child’s special education teacher was great. The 5th grade general education teacher, who always mentioned she had experience working with special education students didn’t have much tolerance for any of them, especially if they have autism. She seems to send them out to a classroom where an aide teaches a bunch of students, and it’s not because they have bad behaviors. It’s because this teacher doesn’t want to deal with them. Then, in my kindergartener’s class, she always told us about the one teacher always getting into the face or cornering a student. When I asked my child’s teacher about it, she explained how it was two teacher classroom and the special education teacher was sharing and teaching the class with her. I expressed my concerns and even mentioned my child telling me about the teacher placing her hand on another student. The teacher seemed concerned and also a little bit fearful when I said I was going to speak to administration. When I did speak to the office about my concerns, administration did say they would look into it. I’m writing this review because both things I described continued and here we are at the end of the year and nothing was done.
