My two sons attended Blodgett. BES is a small school of 20-40 students, with two teachers: grade 1/2 and 3/4. (Kindergarten was added after my sons' time.) The small classes mean that students are given more duties than in a larger school: they answer the telephone, assist with lunch, and manage their own paperwork. BES has a close, family feeling, and the community club is active in getting things done for the school and its alumni.

In my years here. To be blunt, it sucked. I was bullied, my little sister who has a disability was bullied. When the No Child Left Behind act was implemented, she carried on through the years never catching up despite the “help”.

After 3 years, I do not regret choosing this school district. It is small which has its good and bad points. The good points are that I have close contact with staff and what my child is doing. The bad is that there are limited resources and there is a bit of "good ol' boy" syndrome, meaning some teachers and policies are not good but will never change. Some teachers are so good, I am amazed when I hear about how much my kids are learning. (My child learned more about Shakespeare than I ever knew and aspects I could never have known) Some are so bad, I cant figure out how they can live with themselves. (a whole trimester spent studying the 1990's could never constitute a history class in my book)(huge gaps in my child's history education)

Clemens Primary School has such a great staff and friendly people! They adjust for every student, whatever their needs are, and address them through an open door policy and responsive staff.Michael and Sandee Chambers - parents
