We have been so impressed with Timberstone. It starts with the people: the principal and assistant principal are engaged and involved. The teachers are passionate and creative in their lessons, providing differentiated instruction tailored to all levels. The music department in particular is led by teachers who go above and beyond to provide opportunities for learning and performing. The orchestra, band, and choir directors worked with my daughter and her counselor to ensure that she can participate in all three, which is outside of the norm but they're making it work for her. There are extracurricular activities for all: athletics, science olympiad, book club, gaming club, leadership and service, and much more, all headed by enthusiastic and knowledgeable teachers. I love that Timberstone, like other Sylvania schools, puts an emphasis on character and good behavior; in fact, their biggest awards for graduating eighth graders are not for the kids who got the best grades or athletic accomplishments, but for the kids who demonstrated good work ethic, helped their peers and teachers, etc.

We moved into this district 2 years ago and so far I am pleased with the school. It's a beautiful, secured building in a safe location. Both of my children have not experienced any bullying. Both of my children did struggle a bit at first catching up because this school district was teaching ahead of where my children were in terms of math and science. (We came from a small, private school in WI.) We recognize this school's efforts through the pandemic. The only place for improvement is their bus system that always seems to be changing. Hopefully, this will be alleviated in the future.

Horrible experience. Poor quality education and bad staff and teachers.
