"Everything is close by, in the area where I live in Tacoma it’s it’s pretty nice. I’ve been here since 1998 and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. The community comes together. We help each other. We focus on small businesses and also local. I just love it."
  • Shelly Maas
"My area has access easy access to downtown, the freeway and local hospital. It does have challenges with transient populations from time to time."
  • Tyra Scott
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 25 years never had any issues, 2001 parents bought a house still living in the same house no issues besides the foreigners and 5+ vehicles and no space for actual residents "
  • Trulia User
"This area is really walkable, the area is for the most part maintained pretty well. There are a few parks nearby that are pet friendly."
  • Kmalolua
"Lots of places to go for walks. Down the street from lots of parks. Dogs are generally well behaved and on leash access to pet stores nearby."
  • Shelly Maas
"Yes…many dog walkers. Regularly see lots of the same people with their numerous puppies walking daily."
  • Angel Vaetoe
"Nothing. Everything has changed, there’s been an increase in violence amongst our youth/so called gang activity."
  • Nichelevictoria
"It’s really great it’s so fun. I love it so much people love it. Everybody loves it. We’re so fun. It’s so great. My kids love it. Everybody loves"
  • Annie Ragin
"2 elementary schools in walking distance from my house and from each other. Park with a lot of people coming from other neighborhoods "
  • Brittany Pastor
"My commute is to Puyallup, 27 minutes at 10:30 am and I drive, but I used to work in Bellevue, and took public transportation exclusively. It was rough taking 4-5 buses/trains at just under 3 hours each way, but public transportation in Tacoma is great. On time, frequent and usually not too crowded. I say all this coming from LA, where you’re lucky if a bus shows up at all. "
  • Nichelevictoria
"I have lived here my whole life. Lots of diversity and growing families. Every park is full and every bar is crowded. Also it’s right by the water with a beautiful view. "
  • Jeremy Manglona
"No real issues. Not as much public trash cans to throw bags away on walks. Sometimes people’s dogs bark as we walk by, but I don’t have much of an issue with that. "
  • Tillerman23
"There are lots of dog owners that walk their dogs. Most pick up after their dogs as well. Mostly family dogs, very few pitbull type dogs. "
  • Alyviarose Haugen
"I’ve lived here for 3 years and all of my neighbors out for one another and are fairly friendly yet keep to themselves. Not to mention the block is pretty quiet "
  • M9g82f94rd
"Hosmer St is SCARY, and I hope we get off of it soon! There are always people shooting in the air and the homeless are heavily on drugs and roaming about. Not safe, I don’t even feel okay walking my dog around the apartment complex. "
  • Amber Castillo
"It’s easy access to the freeways and to downtown Tacoma and there’s access to public transportation."
  • Bwdtsnfc8f
"ive lived here for my whole life. i love the area and where it is. tacoma is the best. i appreciate washington."
  • Trulia User
" Nice walking area for animals during daylight hours. It’s quiet and the apartment complexes are cleaned up"
  • 1rad Dad
"The cracks in the sidewalks from the big trees lifting the sidewalk up. I love the architecture of the house. "
  • Trulia User
"Most people keep to themselves, and don't bother kids here. We've had some flare ups of gang activity, but it is currently moving to other neighborhoods. "
  • Trulia User
"I've lived in this neighborhood for four years and have been looking for better safer residency. just the other night there were gunshots right outside my own front door and as rare as THAT is it was still not okay"
  • Trulia User
"If you know the area well enough it’s pretty easy getting around. I can get to most places I need between 10-20 minutes."
  • Trulia User
"There is a public park near by that is great for walking and an actual dog park within walking distance. There are sidewalks also which is nice"
  • Trulia User
"I work from home. But in Tacoma? I hate the roads w/o stops signs or even yield signs. its scary. Everyone thinks they have the right away and What makes it worse is that people park all the way up to the curb so you cannot see around the vehicle to see if other vehicles are coming."
  • Trulia User
"We looked at this home and love the craftsman style homes. There’s plenty of space for our family and storage. Hopefully we get to know soon!"
  • Trulia User
"Rough area but if you have a house to yourself not so bad. Lots of crazy dogs owned by other people on the streets, one even jumped out of his fence and tried to attack me and my dog. Stay safe "
  • Trulia User
"Great walking neighborhood to everything you need but recently has not been the safest. I hope changes will make it a better place again. "
  • Trulia User
"A very nice area to live in and I've definitely liked a small house And it will be good for my father a fence didn't yard I think you will love that his grand kiss convinced him making the other all in the back And he is 67 years old I think that would be a nice little house for him"
  • Trulia User
"It is a safe neighborhood Very quiet A nice era to raise kids there's everything by it shopping school library is et Cedric et cedra"
  • Trulia User
"It's a very walkable neighborhood with nice views, good neighbors and beautiful apartments. I really love living here in a very diverse community. "
  • Trulia User
"Point Defiance park is right near by, and it is a joy of a park to go hiking, running, and picnicking. it's not that far to Point Ruston, and there is a Farmers Market, and shopping, a movie theater, excellent dining, and beautiful views of the Puget Sound."
  • Trulia User

  • Trulia User
"it's not the worst, but definitely not safest. Tacoma is a bit crazy. South Tacoma is getting better but it's not safe at night. "
  • Trulia User
"It’s a very peaceful neighborhood with lots of different park options to bring your children with you. "
  • Trulia User
"This is historic Tacoma Old high end homes and we haven’t seen a lot of kids yet. Mostly older couples"
  • Trulia User
"as I had stated on the last property I lived in there until recently for quite a while and I love The Neighbourhood I love the people I feel safe there people mind their own business but they watch out for each other's back I am actively seeking to live there again this property may be an option the price is your right"
