9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you are a parent considering this school, please read this carefully. My son was part of the wrestling program, and the emotional and physical treatment he received from the coaching staff caused long-lasting harm. The environment was extremely unhealthy, and several students—including my son—experienced humiliation, unsafe weight-cutting demands, and psychological pressure far beyond what is acceptable for teenagers. The coach routinely pushed students to gain and lose weight rapidly, made degrading comments about their masculinity, and used intimidation instead of guidance. Promises were made to motivate them, only to be withdrawn later in a way that damaged their confidence and emotional stability. This was not discipline. This was emotional abuse and negligence from adults who should have been protecting our children.Years later, my son is still dealing with the consequences of the trauma he experienced there. He is not the only one—other former students have privately shared similar stories.Schools should be safe.Coaches should build character, not break it.I hope this review encourages the administration to evaluate how students are being treated and to ensure no other child goes through what mine did.Other Review7mo ago16 Reviews - Small Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePros: teachers are highly qualified and have engaging lessons, the office staff are phenomenal, the band program is strongCons: Due to negligent admin, the school has a violence and substance problem. Students in 6th grade get beaten up regularly and their aggressors get a 2 day holiday which only teaches them to keep doing what they are doing. The classes are about 30+ students per class and there are several classes that have broken air conditioning and the school doesn't have the money for repair. The report card looks great. I predict that the new administration's lack of positive leadership and dismissal of school safety will cause problems in the near future. I gave two stars because I guess it could be worse.Parent Review2mo ago18 Reviews - Baldwin Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe found Baldwin to be very disappointing. The school culture is really toxic. The teachers are very nice, but I am almost positive that they are instructed by the administration to not communicate with the parents. Every time that I tried to talk to a teacher, they just refused to really tell me how my child was doing. One teacher even told my fourth grader’s class, “I don’t care if you don’t pay attention in math. Your parents can find out when your report cards come.” Report cards come every 9 weeks. There are no progress reports or communication to parents on how the kids are doing until those 9 weeks are up. That’s not a healthy learning environment. There are children that care about their grades, but my students didn’t have any interactions with kids that really wanted to learn. I believe my students learned something, but it was definitely not the focus of the students. The MAP scores in the fall never changed in the spring. Last, the students get to decide who gets in trouble at the school. Students tend to stick together if they live in the same neighborhood, but they tend to be ruthless to the newcomers.Parent Review2y ago16 Reviews - Check out schools near 25 Spring Cir.

"We absolutely love living in this neighborhood! Everyone here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. People take great pride in their homes and lawns, which makes the entire area feel beautiful and well cared for. It’s also very dog-friendly, and the walking trails surrounding the neighborhood are perfect for daily walks and getting outside. Our neighbors are polite, respectful, and the community is generally very quiet and peaceful. It’s been such a wonderful place to call home!"

"A solid, unpretentious neighborhood where people genuinely look out for each other. It feels safe enough that early morning solo runs before sunrise are no big deal, and you’ll often cross paths with neighbors walking their dogs. Kids play outside, which says a lot about a place. It’s quiet and green, with mature trees that give it a settled, established feel. For all that calm, you’re still just minutes from downtown Austin and the shops and restaurants at Mueller. Commuters will appreciate the easy access to major freeways — it’s one of those rare spots where you get peaceful streets without sacrificing convenience. I’ve lived here for 9 years."

"Neighbors actually look out for each other - the kind of place where someone sets out seeds and dried plants for anyone who wants them. Kids play outside, and people say hello when they pass. It’s a good spot to call home."

"A close to key conveniences- grocery, pharmacy , clothes shopping , library. etc. Good walking but no dry cleaner, bank etc. Quality Public transportation is lacking . This is not a real traditional large city . It is a sunbelt city grafted in to an older smaller community ."

"This neighborhood is not near public transportation. During peak hours, 7:30am-9am and 3:45-6:30 it can take 45-50 minutes to get downtown. It’s just 20 minutes when traffic is flowing. "

"Super close to the freeway and honestly tucked away so hardly any traffic ever and I love it and would definitely recommend the area. The only downside is is sometimes the homeless population gets a little out of control and can be quite aggressive. They also dumpster dive very frequently, but for the most part, they are really nice and respectful."

"Food truck really close walkable distance to anything and everything. Friendly neighborhood. I’ve met half the people on my block. A lot of people walk their dogs. It’s a family friendly neighborhood. I see the neighbors walking with their children and their families are comfortable visiting them here in this neighborhood. I feel safe in this neighborhood. It’s a quiet neighborhood. There’s the capital Metro rail and it’s not loud. It’s Neighbourhood friendly. I recently had a tree farm in my yard and someone visiting a neighbor on my block, called the police department for me and notified me right away during the storm."
