    "Yachats has spectacular rocky shores and one sandy beach. Year-round hot spot for agates and petrified wood rolling in from Pacific. No casinos! Unusually good coast restaurants, friendly community, many volunteer run programs. New people fit in quickly with many glad to greet and get you connected. As with all small towns, medical services not in overabundance. But hospitals are only 30 miles away N or S on 101."

    "Here is an unusual town on the Oregon coast. It has a warm, caring, creative community. People look out for each other, support local arts, shop local, and organize festivals, concerts and fundraisers together. They even have a Facebook page! One must be hardy to live here, but the beauty, the friendly folks, and the many things to do make up for the remote location. "
