"I’ve lived in North Liberty for 11 years, and it’s a walkable, friendly space. Trick-or-Treating is always a good time. "
  • Emily Richerson
"Amazing community! Safe place to raise kids, walk your dog, go jogging. The people are respectful and kind to one another."
  • Fp8vbmn2x5
"Family center- no matter how you family. The bike trails are paved and everywhere. The library is a weekly stop as the children have a wonderful indoor and outdoor play environment. "
  • Trulia User
"The area is nice and generally quiet. Everything you need is within a short driving distance. It is also in a suburban type area. "
  • Trulia User
"most condos/apts don't accept animals without an ESA letter. everyone seems friendly though and enjoy the sight of other dogs"
  • Katie.halbmaier
"It is a great young family environment! We have gotten to know our neighbors well :-) It is great to live in an up and coming area!"
  • Mischellevansaun
"Lived here for 18 years. Quiet and nice neighborhood animals aloud. New neighborhood. Beautiful sunsets. "
  • Lorenzo N.
"Busy traffic and there’s a lot of places picky about dogs and charge a lot to have them. Other than that it’s good"
  • Dlbran627
"It’s ok place to live. Some of the people are very clicky and think there better then you. Needs more restaurants but that’s fine. Schools are awesome. "
  • Finn.me
"Commute to work is easy, minimal traffic and simple. Everything’s 2-4 lane and moves quickly. I really enjoy our neighborhood. "
  • Reesetbryson
"It’s very friendly to walk your dogs around this neighborhood. All neighbors are very respectful while walking their dogs."
  • Chante’ L.
"Area is safe. Overall beautiful upcoming town. Kind of boring, but that’s always better than too much going on!"
  • Marcus P.
"North Liberty Jazz Fest. I believe it happens once a year and is located across the area school. Usually nice music and good food with plenty of options. Unfortunately because of such large turnouts they have banned bringing dogs into the area. "
  • Heatherbernhard
"Everyone has dogs. Most yards are fenced in which makes it pet friendly. Some neighbors aren’t the best about their dogs barking but most are. "
  • Derek R.
"Great schools friendly people and low crime rate. These are huge qualities of North Liberty. Coming from Boston, you would never get a public school education there like you can get here. "
  • Scot N.
"North liberty used to be a very nice, quiet, bedroom community. It was a wonderful small town with a quaint feel. However, over the last 10 years has become another generic suburbia. On average, there is one strip mall for every 10 residents with more being built every week. Even though more than half of the properties sit vacant, the city continues to allow more to be built. When strip malls aren’t being built, there are overpriced zero lots and condos going up. The housing market is so overpriced that finding a decent home for less than $225,000 is just about impossible. 15 years ago you could find a three bedroom two bath house with a huge backyard for under 130,000. "
  • Brandon B.
"Bedroom community, but starting to grow its own personality. Good restaurants, good schools, good public services and parks"
  • Sabrina G.
"There are a lot of dog owners in this area. There is a trail that many people use to take their dogs on walks! "
  • Brianna S.
"Plenty of walking trails and parks to venture to all over no matter what part of the town you’re in, dog parks and hiking trails all quite close as well and just outside of town. Seems to be more pet friendly rental wise here than Iowa City. "
  • Trisha Jones
"I lived here a year and half now. Great Schools, quiet neighborhoods accept children playing. I feel comfortable letting my son walk home from school and I have even left my garage open over night and car unlocked, and nothing had been taken. North Liberty is a Great place to live."
  • Sjkauffmann
"there is a lot of safety around the area, like police station, fire department, churches, schools, and friendly neighbors."
  • Thpope
"Getting onto 380 is a nightmare from 7am - 8:30am. Construction is very bad now all throughout town."
  • Mrobilla
"Great neighbors and neighborhood......... pond and all in area... interstate connection coming soon!!!"
  • Agalton71
"I love this neighborhood great parks and walking trails great schools fishing pond and near grocery shopping "
  • Kristine
"Friendly helpful neighbors. Lots of young families looking to meet new people. Easy access to shopping. "
  • Tgealow
"Quiet, family oriented community. Perfect location, between Cedar Rapids, and Iowa City with access to great food, entertainment, etc. "
