This school is awful. The staff bullies students just as much as the students. The "resource officers" talk about the female students and stare at them. The whole school should be shut down and redone.

3 of my 4 kids have attended grades pre-k to 5th at Ridgely. It’s been a great school. No school is absolutely perfect. could I find minor things to complain about over the past 8 years of my children attending? Yes but so minor that I would definitely hesitate if I wanted to move and have to change schools. I’ve seen teachers go out of their way to help students especially with bullying. A lot of the staff really come together to help the kids and make them feel comfortable and confident. They have an amazing Pre-k room. I saw it both before and after they had received grant money and it’s exceptional.

I would recommend home schooling before I would let my child attend lockerman middle school. My child came home and said that kid stuck a sticky note on her back saying kick me and I'm gay. The teacher was notified. My daughter explained to the teacher, that she can't deal with these kids. My daughter was told to go to the bathroom and cool down. Nothing was done to the bully. So I get wind that they're bullying her again. I go to the school and address the situation. So now, I'm the bad guy. The teacher should've said something about the notes being stuck to my daughter's back that day. There's a lack of control in this school. Let's make a child's day hard while they learn. School has to many distractions for kids to learn these day. Too much drama. Just home school your kids so they can focus on school and not be harrased. Let's hope this gets resolved in the investigation. Or I'll be forced to withdraw my child and go to court and explain how I'm not going to send my kid to a place to get harassed. Probably still be the bad guy. But what's a dad supposed to do?
