About this House

Ole Bay Fox Pen Ole Bay Fox Pen represents a rare opportunity to own a highly improved one hundred twenty acre recreational estate in Harrison County, Mississippi. Located near the community of Saucier and within convenient driving distance of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, this property offers the privacy and peaceful atmosphere of rural living while remaining close to coastal amenities, shopping, dining, and entertainment. Combining established infrastructure, open pasture, mature timber, water features, a comfortable cabin, and extensive recreational improvements, Ole Bay Fox Pen offers a unique opportunity for buyers seeking a versatile South Mississippi property. Originally developed as a functioning fox pen, this property has benefited from years of thoughtful development and careful maintenance. The existing improvements provide a tremendous foundation for a variety of future uses while preserving the property's current recreational value. The six foot perimeter fencing, complete electric fence system, catch pen, interior road network, and established layout represent significant investments that would require substantial time and expense to recreate. For buyers interested in continuing the current operation, the property is ready to continue its established use. For others seeking a private retreat, recreational property, agricultural tract, or family estate, the existing infrastructure provides exceptional flexibility. One of the most impressive features of Ole Bay Fox Pen is the approximately thirty acres of open pasture divided into three separate sections. These well maintained pastures provide both beauty and functionality while creating a scenic contrast against the surrounding timberland. The layout offers numerous opportunities for livestock, horses, recreational activities, or additional improvements. The existing catch pen adds practical value for anyone interested in livestock management or continuing the property's current operation. A beautiful one and one half acre pond located within one of the pasture areas serves as a focal point of the property. The pond enhances the landscape while providing a peaceful setting for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. Whether spending quiet mornings overlooking the water, fishing from the bank, or gathering with family and friends near the shoreline, the pond adds an element of character that makes the property feel like a true country retreat. Accessibility throughout Ole Bay Fox Pen is exceptional. A well developed network of interior roads and manicured trails provides access across much of the property and allows owners to comfortably explore the landscape by truck, utility vehicle, horseback, or on foot. These roads and trails are a significant asset, providing immediate usability for recreation, property management, timber access, and everyday enjoyment. The amount of planning, labor, and maintenance required to establish this level of access adds considerable value for the next owner. The property includes a comfortable approximately one thousand square foot cabin designed for enjoying time spent outdoors. The large wrap around porch creates an inviting space for relaxing, entertaining guests, or enjoying the peaceful surroundings. From morning coffee overlooking the property to evenings spent visiting with friends and family after a day outside, the cabin provides the perfect gathering place. Inside, the cabin offers a practical and comfortable layout featuring a kitchen, den, three bedrooms, laundry room, full bathroom, and an additional half bathroom conveniently accessed from the exterior. The design provides the functionality needed for weekend stays, family gatherings, or extended visits. The property also includes both power and water service, along with a backup generator that provides additional peace of mind during unexpected outages. Beyond the pasture areas, Ole Bay Fox Pen features a diverse mixture of longleaf pine, loblolly pine, and hardwood timber. This combination creates a beautiful natural setting while providing future management opportunities. The mature timber contributes to the property's privacy, character, and long term value. The changing seasons bring a variety of scenery as hardwoods transition throughout the year while the evergreen pines provide a consistent backdrop across the landscape. Because the property has historically operated as a functioning fox pen, wildlife populations within the fenced area are different from those found on a traditional hunting tract. Current deer and turkey numbers are limited; however, the existing habitat features provide an excellent foundation for future wildlife management opportunities if a new owner chooses to transition the property toward that use. The combination of timber, pasture, water, and maintained access creates many of the components desired for developing and enhancing recreational habitat over time. The versatility of Ole Bay Fox Pen is one of its greatest strengths. Properties with this level of existing infrastructure and acreage are increasingly difficult to find, especially in an area experiencing continued demand from buyers seeking privacy and recreational opportunities. The property could continue as a functioning fox pen, serve as a private family retreat, become an equestrian property, support agricultural uses, or provide a peaceful country residence near the Mississippi Gulf Coast. For equestrian enthusiasts, the combination of open pasture, fencing, trails, and comfortable accommodations creates an excellent foundation for a private horse property. The extensive trail system provides opportunities for riding and recreation while the separated pasture areas allow flexibility for animal management. The property already contains many of the features that buyers often spend years developing. For those seeking a private getaway, Ole Bay Fox Pen offers the rare combination of seclusion and convenience. The property provides room to breathe, explore, and enjoy the outdoors while remaining close enough to Gulf Coast communities for everyday needs and entertainment. The quiet setting, scenic views, and established improvements create a place where family traditions can be built and memories can be made for years to come. Harrison County continues to be one of South Mississippi's most desirable areas for land ownership due to its proximity to the Gulf Coast, strong demand for acreage, and balance between rural privacy and modern convenience. Larger tracts with existing improvements, quality access, and recreational appeal are becoming increasingly scarce. Ole Bay Fox Pen provides an opportunity to own a property that already has the features many buyers are searching for. From a land investment perspective, this property offers multiple layers of value. The combination of acreage, location, timber resources, improvements, and recreational potential creates a well rounded asset that can be enjoyed immediately while maintaining long term appeal. Unlike undeveloped acreage requiring significant investment before use, Ole Bay Fox Pen allows the next owner to immediately benefit from years of prior planning and development. Ole Bay Fox Pen is more than a piece of land. It is a carefully developed South Mississippi property offering privacy, versatility, recreation, and opportunity. The existing improvements provide a strong foundation for the next chapter of ownership while the natural features of the land offer room for future vision and customization. Properties of this caliber rarely become available in Harrison County. The combination of established fencing, open pasture, scenic pond, timberland, extensive trails, comfortable cabin, and convenient location creates an opportunity unlike many others in the market. Ole Bay Fox Pen is ready for a buyer who understands the value of owning a well improved rural property and appreciates the lifestyle that comes with it.

"children are bad, lil criminals. they break into homes, vehicles... steal, destroy. not a high end neighborhood"
  • Vwilli4596
"My neighborhood is quiet..just the way we like it! The people are friendly and my neighbors are the greatest!"
  • Charles S.
"Saucier has always been my home when I have been in Mississippi. people are very friendly and helpful and always a neighborly atmosphere."
  • Southern B. C.
"The area in and around Saucier has been blighted by trash and litter. Unfortunately, such natural beauty has succombed to people who apparently want to keep their home and car interiors spotless because they seem to throw their trash into the nearby ditch or out of the car window! I lived there for three years until recently and tried to collect litter daily but it was fruitless. It just keeps coming back. Litter information needs to be taught in the schools and then perhaps the children can educate the parents. It is such a shame that there is so much disregard for the environment. Our ancestors would be so ashamed to see what has been done. It was so stressful for me, I had to move away from it. Drive down highway 53 towards Saucier Lizana Rd and then turn North for starters. Turn East onto West Wortham towards Old Highway 49 for a continuation of your tour. By the time you are done on just this short route, you will be as appalled as me, guaranteed. Take this all into consideration, if you can handle it, maybe you can be the ones to make a difference. Good luck. "

"Nearby schools: St. Patrick High School, William Carey College- Both 10 minutes from central Saucier off SR67. Nearby restaurants: Juan Tequilas' Mexican restaurant, Subway Sandwich Shop, Raffeo's fish house. Shopping: Country conveniece store, Dollar General, Family dollar."
  • ccboggs
"Diberville schools are excellent. Area has grown. Restaurants, Retail stores, and city buildings all newer. Friendly community."
  • Southern B. C.
"Could be lovely, if ignorant people did not throw their trash everywhere along the road. Take a drive down West Wortham where this home is located. You will be sick on your way there when you see it. Such a shame and there are so many beautiful wooded areas and lakes. People don't appreciate what they have. If cleaned up and kept that way, houses would sell faster I am sure. Who wants to see this on their way home everyday?"
  • Dedeaux89
"My grandparents built this house and I lived in it all my life. The neighborhood quickly filled will very poverty stricken druggies and drunks. I love my memories there but this particular neighborhood is unsafe and filled with low life scum. Drive around the circle and see for yourself. The road Bonvillain was named because my grandparents and Mr. Hudson were the first to purchase the land, and it has gone completely down hill the last decade."
  • Skiboat1963
"Desoto National Forrest Lake Airey all great locations good people out there"
