Amazing school and great teachers!My son came from Brazil, and this was the first school he attended here. The teachers, students, and everyone were very welcoming, helping him adapt quickly. In just one week, he was feeling comfortable and excited. Thank you to everyone who helped my son.

My son is very happy at this school as are we as parents. They offer so many choices for classes and really engage the students. All his teachers are very friendly, and supportive. We are very happy with this High School, they made the transition very easy!

This is a very “data driven” school. Circumstances are not an excuse. Being homeless, parents divorcing, and even a suicide in the immediate family is not an excuse to do poorly at anything, but especially state tests. Fun is indeed a criminal offense. Violent students are given plenty of opportunity to harm other students. Real solutions are never supported, and it appears cheating is implied but never said outright… of course for plausible deniability. Some poor teachers probably have cheated under the threat of being fired. All the teachers pay so much out of the little they make to make their classrooms at engaging and fun as possible. Trying new tactics is frowned upon unless they work, then it was apparently the schools idea to begin with. I’ve had children there that have been bullied and even stabbed. I think there are maybe 3 teachers here that still have any joy left in them for showing up. Nobody there became a teacher for money, but they’ve paid a much higher price than they bargained for. So many find entirely different jobs. Others are counting down the hours until they can afford to retire. The retirement is some of the worst I’ve ever seen. You make far less than minimum wage for retirement. Your home better be paid off because you won’t afford a mortgage payment or rent unless your spouse had a good paying job and retirement. I truly feel bad for the student’s here, they deserve better.
