6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAfter putting one child thru the torture of this high school I hope I never have to again. My child is a straight A student, no thanks to the teachers or staff at this schoold. In a consolidated high school, if you are not from Monticello, then your child doesn't have a chance in sports, scholarships, awards or anything else. The teachers only care about the locals with the exception of the Advanced Math teacher, she appreciates children who are prepared for her classes regardless of where they come from. This small town is in complete control of the school, the sports events, and anything else. It is so unfair for kids who are not local to have to drive ten to twenty miles to school and parents must provide their own transportation if the kids are involved in sports and required to stay after school. In hindsight, I would have paid for private school had I known how unjust this school system is.Parent Review14y ago
