We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Mitchell Elementary School! From the moment we stepped through the doors, we felt the warmth, care, and commitment of the staff and teachers. The school has created such a nurturing environment where children are not only encouraged to learn, but to thrive socially and emotionally as well.The teachers go above and beyond to make learning fun and engaging, always finding creative ways to spark curiosity and support each child’s unique learning style. The leadership team is approachable, communicative, and clearly dedicated to the success of every student.Our child has grown tremendously this year—not just academically, but in confidence and kindness too. The sense of community is strong, and it’s clear that everyone here—from the front office to the classroom—genuinely cares.We feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a positive and inspiring school. If you’re looking for a place where your child will be known, supported, and challenged in all the right ways, look no further!

As a substitute teacher I see all sort of schools and types of student behaviors. We all know how we were as kids, when it was a sub day... In my experience, Plant High School is my number 1 choice when it comes to subbing. The students are well behaved, the staff is always helpful, most students do the work I assign while filling in for the teacher (which is unheard of at most schools), and I never leave the school being glad the day is finally over because of behavior. I personally would recommend this school as a good option for parents looking for good academics, student life, and being less worried their child is going to learn bad habits.

as a past student, i do not recommend this school. it’s listed as one of the top schools in tampa but they don’t ever discuss school fights, online safety, etc. on some occasions fights at school happen but nothing is done about it making this a somewhat unsafe campus where students don’t feel safe.
