Description

Here is your chance to own a little slice of U.P. heaven, right on the beautiful shores of Lake Superior. Tucked far back off of the highway, imagine walking out your back door and down to your very own, 100ft. of sandy beach frontage, with nothing but the sound of the wind and waves. Inside, your home offers an equally peaceful retreat. The large living area is flooded with natural light. The open concept is perfect for entertaining or families alike. Your guests can cozy around the wood burning, stone fireplace while you prepare a meal in your gourmet kitchen. Outfitted with a top of the line AGA double oven gas range and solid surface countertops, your kitchen also features additional seating at the attached breakfast bar. Every inch of storage space was utilized when designing the cabinetry layout. Recent bathroom updates include new sinks and countertops and a beautifully tiled walk-in shower. And of course, no four seasons beach house would be complete without a sauna! Speaking of perfect, when's the last time you found a home with its own Tiki Bar!?! It's not only the pretty updates; all the bones have been taken care of as well. New zoned furnace, new water filtration system and just this week a brand new roof. The property also has a large detached garage with a large loft space above that would make a great art studio or workshop. All that's left is to move in! Whether you make this your year round home or a fantastic vacation property, this is one listing you've got to see.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.

"This city is full of nature, adventure, and excitement! Hiking, kayaking, walking around downtown listening to live music in the summer. These are a few of the many incredible things to do in Marquette. The U.P. Has a very loyal culture and many diverse peoples due to being a college town. "
  • Brittany B.
"Close to the high school, hospital, and the university! Quiet neighborhood, and a great neighborhood to live in!"
  • Setonsieracki
"Commute around town is simple. I typically walk to and from in colder weather. When warm out I bike. Only drive when time is limited or the distance is greatest. Great town NOT to drive."
  • Zack D.
"All of Marquette is very dog friendly. There’s a dog park nearby and tons of trails. Many people in town have dogs. "
  • Cali H.
"Everyone seems dog friendly. However, in apartments, not a lot of yardage to run the dogs! But there are dog friendly parks and lots of trails in Marquette which is good. "
  • Emilly L.
"People drive really fast so you have to make sure your dog doesn’t accidentally get loose. The side walks are nice for walking your pet and people seem friendly."
  • Unknown N.
"Marquette is these biggest city in the area. It acts as for the Center for government in Michigan in the UP. For that reason it seems bigger than it really is. The education and healthcare in the area is outstanding."
  • Bammert70
"There are lots of other dogs, mainly pitbulls, but they are friendly. there are many younger kids that will run around and play with the dogs if they are out. "
  • Elise C.
"The proximity to downtown Marquette makes Trowbridge the perfect place to live. :) We’re so excited to raise our family here. "
  • Ian R.
"It's very friendly and lots of good restaurants and breweries. Friendly people and unique culture. Long winters! "

"I've lived here for 14 years and love it. it's rugged and unique and so are the people. it's an unspoiled place and I hope it stays that way."
  • Eliska A.
"There are many old houses and trees. Everything is very calm and the Lake Superior is close from anywhere in town."
  • Lizpaepke
"I am just visiting it is beautiful up here. Love the lake cute downtown area. Good sidewalks for walking good beach area"
  • Shannon D.
"I've lived here for about 10 years. it's a large neighborhood and we're at the very end of I've side so we only have 2 immediate neighbors. I know a few other people in the neighborhood from birding interests. "
  • SSulskis
    "Nice quiet clean community"
  • dperlove
"This is a safe neighborhood, well maintained properties, nestled into the foothills of Marquette Mountain. Some lots abut a green strip with frequent sightings of deer and a variety of migratory birds during the summer months. Downtown is more than a short walk but is a reasonable bike ride away (warm months). Otherwise public transport is available from the front door. Snow plowing is excellent on Altamont and you can always get out during winter if you keep the foot of your driveway clear. Marquette has just the right amount of tourism to support a variety of sporting events and festivals during all seasons but not so much tourism that it feels like a congested bigger tourist area like Traverse City. There are a least three local micro-brewries, several good restaurants, and always entertainment, especially on weekends. Marquette is growing just enough to support continuous improvements and developments of its parks and attractions and there are at least two (three star type) hotels and along with a number of nice chain hotels for visitors. Downtown becomes almost magical in the wintertime with its snow-capped sandstone facades and "lit-up" trees. Being situated on a bay of Lake Superior makes Marquette one the the most picturesque small towns in the Midwest. "
