"The neighborhood is warm, welcoming and convenient. I have no reservations about recommending it. Only minutes to downtown."
  • Trulia User
"The neighborhood is convenient to downtown, well maintained, warm and welcoming. I have enjoyed my time here. Churchhill Richmond is a beautiful place to live. It is located perfectly for access into Richmond’s municipal center, the VCU campus, the MCV medical complex and local nightlife."
  • Trulia User
"I see my neighbors walking their dogs often. The dogs appear well maintained and well trained. The neighborhood feels like a warm welcoming place for pets."
  • Trulia User

  • Ginn19
"This is a very dog friendly neighborhood. A lot of people are seen walking their dogs. There is a dog park nearby. "
  • Julient523
"Extremely close to downtown and 95 without being right in the middle of the city. 15 minutes to chesterfield or short pump "
  • Danielle A.
"Church Hill is a quiet but lively neighborhood with a ton of community and culture. I love that it has the benefits of a city (stores, restaurants, parks, etc) but still has a neighborhood feel. There's always something or some event going on and we love that we can walk to everything we need to. "
  • Karilege
"Love the multicultural community, great restaurants, walkabilty, public transportation, and history of the neighborhood. "
  • Peter B.
"Far on hi way way out to the suburbs. A lot of good jobs are in the West End and you definitely need a car to get anywhere. "
  • Ziegfred D.
"no parking, people are not friendly to minorities, people does not clean up after their dog, restaurant does care about their trash and parking "
  • Sarah S.
"Easy access to the Pulse and GRTC buses. Walkable to Shockoe Slip and even downtown. Easy access to the interstates though it gets a little congested once you go down the hill toward Shockoe Bottom and the on ramps."
  • Sarahk
"Centrally located, mixed-income area, lots of nonprofits, friendly neighbors but also gentrifying quickly and becoming unaffordable"
  • Sarahk
"Friendly neighbors in a mixed income area; lots of stuff to do within walking distance; close to gas stations and the highway; walking distance to downtown Richmond, MCV, the river and the bottom; on the bus line; stores like Walmart, Lowe’s, grocery, etc. within two miles; some petty property thefts, but not really an issue if you lock your car and track your packages!"
  • mslf500
"Skyline and river views, a great little park and plenty of dining opportunities within walking distance make this area a great neighborhood."
  • Fburroughs
"I work in an office located 5 minutes from this area and I have renovated a home in this area. The 600 block of N 33rd St. is located 5 minutes from the Virginia Commonwealth University and VCU/MCV Hospital. Interstates 95 and 64 are also located just five minutes away. There is a nice Mall (White Oak Mall) located less than 10 minutes away in Eastern Henrico County with "big box" stores such as Lowes Home Improvement, J. C. Penney, Target, Martins Grocery, etc. along with restaurants such as Long Horn Steak House, Olive Garden, TGIF Fridays, Steak & Shake, etc. Public Transporation (GRTC) from the neighborhood is located one block away from N 33rd St. on Chimborazzo BLVD. There is also a Grocery store located just one block away from N 33rd St. The James River is within "walking distance" (approximately 15 minutes) from the 600 block on N. 33rd St. On the street parking is not a problem and there is alley access to the rear of the homes and ample room for off-street parking on each homes' lot located on the 600 block of N. 33rd Street. There is a dog park located with walking distance from the 600 block of N. 33rd St. as well as some restaurants, bars, parks."
