Carlson has been an awesome community school! Our kiddo started here in Kindergarten and has moved up through the grades. Every year, our child's teacher has been great, develops a strong bond with our kid and the other students, is very responsive, and communicates well with us. Our kiddo is advanced in reading by several grades, and each year, the teachers make sure that she's being challenged, often grouping her for practice with other students who are at the same level. So we feel like kiddo's learning things and not stagnant. All of the teachers seem to work together as a team, as we've had a lot of integration between her art, music, gym, and library classes with her normal class. Everyone has been super friendly, and the community feel is great when we come in for conferences, spring concert, rec nights, etc. This year, even though kiddo was remote, they did a great job considering the situation. Our kid was still able to bond with the teacher and grow in her reading and math this year.

Great school! So many wonderful teachers. There is a great amount of options available for students to be involved in sports, clubs and organizations. They focus on getting every student ready for their future (college, career or military).

This school has a severe bullying problem. They claim to have a "no tolerance" policy, but refuse to aid students who speak up about being bullied. I was verbally, sexually, and physically attacked throughout my time at this school, and was not helped when I would go to staff. Lots of empty promises. They only emailed a problem student once after my guardian threatened to get the law involved. They do not care for the safety of the students here. Do not enroll your kids at Eisenhower.
