I was heavily bullied at this school (weight and race), I faced constant harassment. I went to school faculty members and no one gave any care to me and they let the bullying keep going and going and going to where it mentally and physically struck me, one kid that I signed a no contact contract with kept harassing me and even called me chink. One particular boy on the baseball team’s family donated money to the school so I guess they got special privileges to mentally and physically harass me (coughing on my drinks, throwing my food on the ground, and stabbing me with pencils) the good ole boy system is heavily in place here. Every time I woke up to go here I would constantly mentally breakdown and beg my parents not to go. I felt very unsafe and scared here. I am now scarred for life from this experience. Luckily I am at a new school and new district with amazing people and amazing bullying prevention, I love going to my new school and always look forward to it. “WELL DONE CHIEFS ARE YOU PROUD OF YOURSELVES?)

I attended this school for one year before transferring to the South Carolina Governor's School For the Arts and Humanities (SCGSAH) in Greenville, SC. My overall experience was less than ideal. I met some nice people, but never really felt like I truly fit, and felt judged due to me being overweight. I am a huge orchestra nerd, which was the only thing I enjoyed going to school for, and was honestly disheartened with my experience with the orchestra. You can definitely tell the band gets much more funding, and we were stuck with a college dorm-sized rehearsal space and limited resources and guides for improvement. Otherwise, my teachers were great and supportive, except for my English II teacher, and I had mixed experiences with staff. If your child is huge arts, I'd suggest looking into other alternatives, such as SCGSAH, Grand Strand Charter Arts School, or AAST. Would not recommend this school, and I'm very glad I left.

Dear the principle My son is a fifth grade boy (I will not say his name) but he comes home crying everyday because his teacher favorites students like one time she yelled this is not fun I need a break the teacher just lets her have it. When they do st math she just draws on her computer and he asked her about it and the teacher said mind your business that is so mean. Look he gets she has issues but my son has 80hd and the school does nothing I want to talk to the district .He thinks he does not have enough freedom at home because of his 5/6 math class.
