Academically the school is okay. First off, the kindergarten teachers are amazing. I can't say the for the teachers once you get in 1st grade and above. Our personal experience were teachers that seemed to be going through the motions of a being seasoned teachers, versus exhibiting passion for students and teaching. As a parent to a black child, school staff does not reflect the growing diversity of the student body. As a parent I believe that black and brown students should see themselves in teacher and administrative roles. Just seeing themselves in cafeteria and janitorial roles is unacceptable. Students need to know that your teacher and administrator can be black, brown, Asian, or a male, not just a white female. School doesn't support students who are creative learners and doesn't think or learn linearly. No child is perfect, and certain staff always painted my child in a negative light and at times a problem. In my personal interactions with staff, especially the reading specialist, she seemed to be rude, I just hate that my child experienced adults who seemed to be uncaring or harsh. Other parents of minority students have expressed similar concerns. If you are a parent to a minority student or student who is very creative, please reconsider this school when choosing a school.

This is the worse school i put my child in this school needs to be taken over Mr.brooks the principal is bringing the whole school down if they don’t get rid of him that school goin hit rock bottom he calls me every day for the most craziness stuff now when something major he don’t call he’s backwards on top of lying than telling me he didn’t say that after I heard him clearly i don’t recommend nobody put there child in this school until it’s new people that can handle these children

This is an unrated school. It is currently one of the best high school in Maryland. Most of the presented figures is more than 10 years old. A lot of positive things are happening to this school.
