"Lived in San Simas for 8 years. It is a hidden gem. There really isn’t a “bad area”. It has all of the perks of LA with few of the drawbacks. "
  • Trulia User
"Most people pick up after their dogs and there are several nice dog parks nearby my dog seems to love"
  • Trulia User

  • Mrneris78
" No bikes or scooters allowed on sidewalks. We have 5 transients and coyotes walk around regularly. Also a speed trap on Gladstone west on San Dimas Ave. "

  • Mitos_kerre
"It is a nice community and I feel safe in this city. The school district is one of the best here in LA County. "
  • Wayne.henry626
"None. They really plan nothing. It’s very slow around here, it’s much more like a retirement community."
  • Wayne.henry626
"Nothing that I have seen. They have a farmers market up by the library with some concerts in the park, but they are scheduled weird. Never really sure when they are going on. It’s not very well promoted."
  • Therese O.
"It is a very nice town however still always keep your eye on your children, you will see some homeless people wandering occasionally toward the downtown mainly and watch out for some people driving too fast and/or not completely stopping at stop signs in larger neighborhoods"
  • Wayne.henry626
"It’s clean. Mostly elderly people. Very close to Glendora and all their stores. Has a little of everything you need."
  • Lauren.saucedo

  • Hollyh.scherch
"Lived here for almost 10 years. Has a quaint, small town, rustic feel to it. People are friendly, but not overly nosey. "
  • Aimee
"It’s a big small city with a very good school district and close to top colleges in the nation. A good place to raise a family. It has the Frank Bonelli Park and close to the L.A. County fair. A good walkable & cycling city.Nature views of the mountains that get snowcapped. It’s got the best of everything. Great suburbs with a water park!"
  • Elijah S.
"There are many beautiful parks to play fetch. They also have a well maintained dog park. There are a lot of good sidewalks and there is always beautiful weather. "
  • Qpmidnight
"It will be better when the Goldline metro comes to town, but it’s about 25 minutes in to Pasadena during non-rush hour. "
  • Nina
"Safe and not busy community. Nice neighborhood where HOA takes care of landscapes and keeps clean and safe all the time."

"Lots of people have dogs and there is a large dog park in the city with both a small and large dog area. Can walk in the neighborhood but there are also lots of trails and hikes to take them on. Being near the foothills is beautiful but there is wildlife around that can threaten smaller pets but overall great place for dogs."
