These new rules they come up with every year get more and more ridiculous. You’re not letting my child be on his phone during classes or at lunch, seriously?! I need to communicate with my child and you’re not letting him. Or when there’s a lockdown, he can’t communicate and let me know he’s okay?! Youpeople think you’re good at discipline but it only makes these kids dread being there even more. Not to mention, my child gets made fun of every single day and asked political questions by his teachers and shamed for his beliefs?! None of them care one bit. Do better.

I have been pleased overall. The school is a warm, inviting place for the students.

I go to this school and it is nasty there are cockroaches that you will see in daylight that is not normal. The teachers are giving out referrals because you are "out of area" before the first bell even rings. This school has lots of fight the lowest at 2 fights a day. Would not recommend this school or some teachers. This school doesn't let you sit with your friends and if they catch you not sitting at your table you will get suspended if they catch you twice. In my Spanish teachers classroom I have no joke seen 6 cockroaches in that class I have seen them also walking in the lunch room and 2 weeks ago there was one on the patio where some kids eat lunch trying to crawl out of a crack in the wall. Honestly they have to get this school under control.

I am helping to raise my grandchildren. Both are Autistic, yet smart in certain areas. Literature(comprehension) and spelling, are both their downfalls. It is challenging to say the least raising boys with this disability. Even though IEP's are in place, their spelling is terrible. My oldest struggles to read it and is embarrassed because he's not like others. To much homework at one time is emotionally crushing to them both. Their minds cannot process it and becomes overwhelming. Their afraid of getting in trouble, not being aloud to play and are made to sit and complete ALL of their homework at once...is this how you treat Autistic children?? Yes they may be able to do the problem, but when given numerous task, they fail because their brain cannot process. It's upsetting when I have boys who once liked coming to school, are crying at night struggling and crying in the morning because fear of getting introuble or embarrassed if called out by the teacher... I try to be understanding but this has really taken me back and now im just really, really upset, that this is a tragedy and almost unbearable to witness. I will be scheduling conferences to have this corrected. I like the school. Their are good, caring teachers, but its unfortunate sometimes things fall through the cracks. Im trying to be optimistic and pray it can all be rectified and my grandchildren will get help. I dont have blinders on, I raised 3 of my own, I know children go thru lazy spurts and "I don't want to's", or the oldest excuse, "I can't do it." But when they've been checked by a neurologist and diagnosed every year, well im not a doctor...so I have to try and help them anyway I can...so I have high hopes, that their was mis- communication somewhere and we can get them the help where I can see some improvement and peace for my grandsons. Im trying the best I can..I worked for the school board almost 25yrs ago, so I am familiar with things, which Im sure has changed.So God willing, there will be a positive outcome.
