This school has two different elementary schools. The Cleveland Primary is grade pre-k - 2nd grade and it was wonderful. However the intermediate is the second elementary school for grades 3-5 and this is what I am basing my reviews on. My granddaughter was in 3rd grade and she is special needs. They struggled to accommodate her with a para which is required by law. She is Autistic with ODD and can be a handful at times. She was bullied many times and cried to not have to go to school. She is very sensitive to loud noises (plus has hearing aids). One time she was yelled at by a student and started acting up. Teacher just sent her to in school suspension class instead of taking time and asking her what happened. Had she taken five minutes or less and asked her the question of what’s wrong? How can I help she would have calmed down and went back into class with no problems. However, the teacher said she has 22 students. She don’t have time to talk to one student about what’s going on. I understand they have a lot of students. However, I remember having a big class and when I was having a bad day, my teacher took time and asked me what was wrong and that helped me through the day and get past it. What happened to teachers caring about their students?? She really struggled with some teachers and students. I was at the school almost daily so something had to change. I removed her and am now placing her in a wonderful private school that will work with her needs. I have struggled with this school with my own children for years. I thank God I was able to get my granddaughter out and place her in the hive learning lab.

Terrible experience, would not recommend to anyone.

Cleveland middle school works very hard to keep discipline under control, encourage kids to be successful, and provide a great learning environment for their kids. The administration supports their teachers , as I have heard many times over. I as a parent have been in the building several times and substitute there. I don't necessarily agree with every discipline decision made, but no one knows what they have to deal with unless you are in their shoes.

My granddaughter has attended a larger school district for K-2nd grade. I was unsure how she would adapt to a smaller school. This school has been wonderful for her. The staff have welcomed her and made her feel like she's been a part of the Tiger Community for ever. Thank you staff.
