I finished up my eighth grade year the past school year, the past years were over all ok until my eighth grade year. I was in a plot where I was being treatend to be jumped and beat up, when I reported this I was not believed by the principal, I was told that nothing would happen to the other kids and the principal basically told me that I was being punished. The only reason I stayed at that school was because of Mr Jarvis the middle school counselor, he treated me very well when others didnt. When I couldn't focus in class some teachers didn't help me and told me that I just wasnt focused or that it was my problem, I am very disappointed with how my eighth grade year was and I am now afraid of high school. Although im sure that this review will get taken down or deleted by the teachers, I am very disappointed with how I was treated by the principal and a few of the teachers, I wish that they would fix a few things and actually believe some of the students even if they have done things in the past. For example I had a few bad days where I wasnt controlling myself and got detention, but that doesn't make me a bad person, and Mr Jarvis showed me that, he believed in me and helped me get through that year. My eighth grade year was my worst year of all, and this school never believed me for anything. I feel if the principal would believe students without the parents having to get involved it might be better, but I dont think that will happen.

Our neurodiverse child has been incredibly successful at GHS! Excellent Special Education department. Our neurotypical child has also been incredibly successful and has felt incredibly supported by every teacher they’ve had in their 4 years there.
