3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt’s been a couple years but my oldest son graduated from this high school. He was supposed to have an IEP. Did he ever get one? Nope. The first couple years we had to talk to them about it constantly and nothing was done. He would fall asleep in class and did they say anything to us? Nope. Did they do anything to him? Nope. Basically was just let him do it and not even care. Let’s not get into the fact that he was so stoned out of his mind one day. Did ANY of the staff members say or do anything? Nope. It truly felt that they were there to just get a pay check. Now that he is older now he would say there would be tons of fights often. He would skip class and nothing was ever done about it. He literally skipped most of the school days or slept through them. Did he graduate? Yes. How is that possible? They put him in a room to take some tests on a computer and said that was good enough. The high school we knew was trash before being forced to move to the area as we had a neighbor that went there when he was younger and his brother even went there. Anderson High school is better off, for the most part , torn down and used as a parking lot. I know what some of you may think “well the parents should be more involved”. We were and we rode him to try and do and be better. But it only works when faculty are able to work together and keep kids in line and actually teach them. We put our two other kids in Daleville Schools after that experience. Anderson High School is a joke of an educational institutionParent Review2y ago8 Reviews - Erskine Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 children who attend Erskine and they love it there! Every teacher they’ve had has been kind and welcoming! They’ve all been very patient with me as I tend to reach out quite a bit with questions / concerns. It has been very clear to me how much the care for and appreciate my children. I’m so glad they attend this school!Parent Review5y ago11 Reviews - Highland Jr High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is little to no family engagement at this school. Parents are not invited into the building. This has been an underperforming school for quite some time; however, they keep doing the same things. I would love to see them change things up and do things differently - engage families, get them involved, get them in the school building. Do something different.Parent Review8y ago1 Reviews - Check out schools near 239 W 38th St #Down.

"It’s a quiet dead end road. It’s very peaceful and even though it’s off the busiest street through Anderson. It is a little quiet piece of paradise."

"These people are miserable, uneducated, over 70% of the school pop is on Public Assistances. Nothing but a bunch of rentals unless you build in the county or city limits edge. No Mall, nothing but that good old buddy system in leadership."

"There is a dog park on 8th and dewy, it is part of all. But surrounding neighborhoods aren’t that great. More likely to find away to take your pet as theirs. Usually if you mind your own and don’t make waves it’s alright."
