When my daughter first began attending, things seemed to run smoothly; however, after my son enrolled, I began noticing several ongoing issues that have become increasingly frustrating.One of my main concerns is the lack of communication between the school administration, staff, and parents. If my children are having behavioral, academic, or emotional difficulties during the school day, I believe those matters should be communicated directly to me by school staff rather than relayed through my 9-year-old child. Effective parent-teacher communication is essential to supporting students, and unfortunately, that communication has been lacking.Additionally, the school frequently requests financial support through restaurant fundraisers and other events where the school receives a portion of the proceeds. As a parent, I would like more transparency regarding where these funds are being allocated, as I have not seen many noticeable improvements within the school aside from the playground area.Another major concern is the tuition being charged for the Montessori 3K–5K program. I do not understand why EP Todd charges families for these grade levels simply because the Montessori label has been added, while other schools within District 7 offer these same early education grades tuition-free. Kindergarten is considered a foundational educational requirement, and I believe all children should have equal access without additional financial burden placed on parents.I strongly feel the district office should reevaluate the policies, communication practices, and overall structure at EP Todd School to better support both students and families.

Carver has won many awards in the past couple of years and it is a very good school for students of all ethnic groups.

Horrible. Awful. Terrible. Being at this school made me a worse person, and I know that sounds like a joke, but I walked out a husk of my former self. Unless you're a sports prodigy, you're bound to be just another number. Teachers and staff don't offer anything for kids with different learning styles. In elementary and middle school, not only did my school (E P TODD) actually focus on the students, but I was also in odyssey. The fact that all students are lumped together here makes no one special and eventually I began to suffer mentally. I've never seen a place with more kids who have completely given up. KIDS! Nobody there cares.
