I am very impressed with the Teaching staff at Hawthorne Elementary, my daughter has learned so much in such a short time. I can not think of a single, outstanding compliant. :)

It seems that a lot of this information is out of date. Though there are not too many AP courses offered here, they are available to those who purse them. Our duel enrolment is also much higher than listed here. That is one thing that KHS does very well, they offer and even automatically make many high school courses duel credit. They work closely with SCC to make this work. I went into college with all my prereqs done and had 46 college credit hours for very little to no cost. This basically allowed me to graduate from college a year early and save a bunch of money. I think this school does the best with what they can, but some teachers are not the most effective (though they are all great people who want their students to succeed!). I think some of these teachers have moved on now so this issue may be corrected. There are many clubs, sports, and interesting elective courses to take (I recommend biotech!). There really is something for everyone here. I really enjoyed my high school experience at KHS and plan to send my own kids here one day!

The teachers and support staff do an outstanding job of building relationships with their students. They work hard to ensure that all of their students are successful. I have been a staff member at GW since 2002, and I was a parent of a GW student from 2005-2008.
