About this House
The "D" line is a much sought-after apartment at the Plymouth House. It is a spacious already converted two-bedroom, one-bath with a large entry foyer, open living room, over-sized main bedroom, walls of windows, 5 closets including one large walk-in. The apartment is in EXCELLENT condition, facing North away from the street, Central A/C. Maint: $1,919 inc. gas, electric fixed $78.49/month.
What the sellers love:
Location, location, location! As long-time Upper East Side residents, we had been eyeing this tree-lined block for a while and were thrilled to find our apartment nearly six years ago. Central Park to the West and Carl Schurz and Randall's Island to the East, plus the furnished rooftop deck with a barbecue provided a great balance of city life & outdoor escape. Whole Foods is right up the street and Fairway is around the block. The 2nd Avenue subway right on the corner of 86th street and the nearby 4-5-6 express stop make it a commuter's dream. Equinox, CVS, and our favorite bakery & ice cream shop are all within a few blocks. PS527 Community has been amazing for our daughter. By being on the second floor, we did not need to rely on the elevator during busier morning and afternoon hours. The open kitchen - well equipped with Sub-Zero, GE Monogram, Bosch, and bar seating - and dining area created a cozy setting for entertaining friends and family. The main bedroom easily accommodated a quiet work-from-home set-up. The second bedroom is ideal for a nursery, child's room or office. The foyer with a large entryway closet became a perfect way station for strollers, car seats and scooters, and the five total closets provided surprising storage for a NYC apartment. Perhaps most importantly, the building staff is wonderful; friendly, helpful and kind.
BUILDING: The Plymouth House is a highly regarded F/S post-war cooperative. The co-op boasts a 24-Hr. Uniformed Doorman, Live-in Resident Manager, Storage Room, Bike Room, Roof Deck, Central Laundry Room & adjacent Garage, easily-accessible side-ramp for carriages/strollers/handicapped. 80% financing, approx. 50% T.D., subletting permitted after ownership of 2 years, w/board approval. The Plymouth House has excellent financials.
THINGS TO KNOW: Pets Welcome (40lbs.). W/D are NOT allowed. No Pied-a-terres (primary residences only), no co-purchasing, or purchasing for another party. Gifting permitted on a case-to-case basis. The building enjoys a No-Smoking policy.
IMPORTANT: The lobby and hallways are presently undergoing an already paid-for amazing renovation.
PLEASE NOTE: COVID showing rules require 24-hour advance notice and are Monday-Friday 9-4:30 only.
