Ridge Rd, established when Mississippi was formed as a state, was a main route for travelers throughout the Leake County area for many years. It was a high point and provided easier navigation by horseback and wagon. Families would use it on treks to and from town to visit relatives and friends. Likewise, loggers and merchants would utilize its convenience for transporting merchandise to market. Although it is no longer an actual road on the map, it runs across one of the highest points of this property. One of the several home sites is on a hilltop overlooking the 12 acre lake that has been stocked with bass, bream and crappie. An additional 55 acres is available. The school and the district is a joke. The whole town knows it! The Superintendent isn't qualified! One broken system to another in this district. I would have not let my kids attend this school at first because if the rumors I heard about it and trust me it's not true. You have very caring and understandable teachers who wants your child to do great in school. If your child is misbehaving you will get a phone call or a note. I prefer the phone call because my son will destroy the note before it reaches my. At this moment I have no complains about South Leave Elementary .Parent Review12y ago
