Does not care about the well-being of students who are not athletes. Racism, misogyny, homophobia, and bullying is rampant in this school. Drills are rarely if at all practiced. Principals are ridiculously hateful and rude to both students and family. Recently had the "Club of America" who used school resources to advertise for radical political values. Only a handful of teachers actually care about their students' learning and well-being. Substitute teacher has cursed out a class of students and was allowed to continue his work at the school. Absolutely disgusting school; do not bring your children here.

We have had such a great experience at Velma Penny! The staff is so loving and goes out of their way to make students feel loved. The teachers are amazing and take the kids so far academically and provide lots of support for those that need it. They also have lots of fun events that make learning fun the kids!

We were repeatedly told how wonderful and what great ratings Lindale has. Well they should have good staar scores as that is all they practice for. No real education happening. Teachers and administrators who bully and make fun of students. Students that are in special education their needs are ignored. If a parent advocates for their students needs the district will bring in a special education attorney to threaten, intimidate the parents and student. Staff have no respect for students or parents, in fact, they will state publicly that parents are the problem. The superintendent will, in writing, not follow the law in regard to staar substitutions.

Not suitable for my child, enrichment is not priority in this school or the town of Lindale. It’s very cliquish and if you or your children are not locals you will be treated as they say “NFL” (not from Lindale) teachers and students alike have used this phrase verbally in and out of school

Both of my students loved EJMoss. They had wonderful, caring teachers who made learning fun for all. My son has ADD, and the staff worked diligently to help him be successful.
