3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMrs Moreno at Rhodes Jr. High has been extremely helpful in helping me multiple times to get my child transferred to this school. She has been extremely professional and always polite. She listens to my questions and her answers give my clarity to my questions. She has been prompt in replying back to me. I really appreciate everything she has done for me during the changing of schools.Parent Review4mo ago8 Reviews - Roosevelt Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm about to ruffle some feathers. Yet I personally don't care. I'm disappointed due to the fact. That this schedule came highly recommended. From various parents and adults overall. My child started this school. Brand spanking new but the principal. At my daughters previous school. Bad mouth me to staff at Roosevelt. To the point where staff. Such as the teacher and principal. We're making snide remarks about me. To or in front of my child. And because my child informed me. Everytime I'd confront the staff. The teacher was petty and ignored my messages. Surrounding my daughters education overall. Intentionally giving my child assignments above her comprehension. And when I'd speak on my concerns. The very nasty principal would. Target my child pulling her. Out of class disrupting her learning time. Pretending niceness towards my child. Around other staff members yet being mean. During the interaction while alone with my child. She'd call my daughter name's. And would comment on my looks. Which is very unprofessional and quite frankly. Had nothing to do with;the price of tea in China. From my understanding instead of. The teacher and principal doing their job. By providing structure and safety. Their time was filled with fraternization. Of any male entering school grounds. Or harassing my child to spite me. My child began not wanting to attend school. That's when I knew. I had to remove her from Roosevelt. I had enough on them. To file a formal complaint. With an Ombudsman or board of education. Yet I opted to remove my child. Also my child wasn't having. Her needs met from an academic standpoint. She wasn't being taught properly. Or treated fairly in my opinion. And the way that things were going. I knew that my child. Would've been just shuffled through. To the next grade without proper knowledge.Parent Review7mo ago6 Reviews - Dobson High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son dropped out of Dobson as per assistant principal suggested. Other son also dropped out of Dobson feeling not confident. He went to Rio Salado to get his GED and it turns out he was smarter high levels pass test. So, tell me how he pass GED which is tougher than High school? They favor football teams, cheer leaders, etc and rest of them negativity. Do not put your child there - if she or he doesn’t meet criteria of popularity- they will put your kid down. I had 4 kids there. All left cuz of negativity and teachers not doing their job. -Parent Review11mo ago23 Reviews - Check out schools near 2333 E Southern Ave.

"You should Still be watching your kids outside even if if seems safe. Live in “nice” “gated and secured” apartments and still many crimes occur in a short amount of time. "

"I live in this neighborhood, but you never see your neighbors and everyone in the backyard. All the walls are black wall walls. It’s not like back east where you see your neighbors and people sit on their front porches."

"Nice neighbors and it’s close to a lot of great restaurants and stores. Tempe is in the middle of everything. It’s a great location close enough to ASU but not close enough to be part of a college town. "

"We help each other. Raised our kids together. This neighborhood seems to understand it takes a village. and we have each other's backs in a crisis. it neighborhood is also culturally diverse. and our neighborhood has all afe ranges living it. We are near ASU and downtown Tempe, which is very charming. "

" Well, it used to be perfect. l've lived in this neighborhood 42 years. I never had any fears going for a night time walk. Ever since all these apartments got built, crime going on all the time. From theft, home invasions, to a poor 71 woman attacked during the day time. We need more police presence. Half of the car breaking aren't even reported. It used to feel like a lovely small home town. Please get the coyotes relocated. Bobcats too! I want my warm, safe, neighborhood back. "
